03/03/2020:  Effective immediately Mayo Labs will no longer be accepting samples for the RESPVSO test (Viral Culture, Respiratory, VRESP).  This is to prevent inadvertent culture of SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19.  
(VRESP continued) Mayo Labs recommends the following alternate testing:  For nasopharyngeal swabs order RESPM, Respiratory Pathogen Panel, PCR Nasopharyngeal.  For bronchoalveolar lavage or bronchial washings, order RESLR, Respiratory Pathogen Panel, PCR.
3/18/20 Effective immediately: STFRSO This test will be made non-orderable immediately due to a reagent backorder.
03/20/2020:  Per Mayo Labs:  Effective immediately test HIVPR (HIVPRSO-HIV-1 Genotype Drug Resistance to Protease and Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors, Plasma) is non-orderable. 
03/21/2020:  Please be aware that sendout testing performed at Miravista Labs (Blastomyces antigen and Histoplasma antigen) may be delayed due to modified test schedules due to reduced staffing levels. 
03/21/2020: Please be aware that sendout testing performed at National Jewish/Advanced Diagnostics Lab may be delayed due to modified testing schedules because of reduced staffing. 
03/23/2020:  At Marshfield Labs site, test code GH (Hemoglobin A1C) may have a slower TAT due to batching of samples.  Samples that arrive in appropriate lab dept. before 3:30 pm M-F, will be run the same day as receipt, but may not be run w/in 2 hrs.
03/24/20:  Per Mayo Labs; testing for PINPSO (Mayo code PINP), Procollagen I Intact N-Terminal, will be delayed due to reagent delivery delay.  The test will remain orderable and specimens received will be stabilized at Mayo Labs until reagent is received

Marshfield Labs Reference Diagnostics was established in 1973 to serve the needs of physicians throughout Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and Eastern Minnesota. We are a division of the Marshfield Clinic, a highly regarded private medical and research institution, located in Central Wisconsin.

As part of a large medical and research institution, we offer a comprehensive menu of laboratory tests. Our Research Foundation promotes the development of new assays; continually expanding our list of available tests. Guidance in interpretation and utilization of our extensive test menu is provided by our team of pathologists and PhDs.
