Collection Processing Instructions

Marshfield Labs:  Kit is available to order from Sanford.  

Providers and Collection Staff:  Kit is stocked at Marshfield Labs and can be requested by calling Lab Customer Service (16700 or 800-222-5835)

Patients must not have had anything to eat or drink 1 hour before specimen collection. Patient must be off Proton Pump inhibitors (PPIs), Bismuth and antibiotics 2 weeks prior to test (4 weeks if testing to confirm eradication) as these medications can affect results. H2 antagonists do affect this test.  The solution that the patient is required to drink for this test contains phenylalanine.
