Collection Processing Instructions

​Send samples frozen for longest stability.

Samples are best collected 10 days after onset of symptoms.  Antibodies may not show up ealier than that and could result in a false negative result. 
Positive results will be repeated the next scheduled testing day.

Lab Note: When test is ordered in Cerner, it will appear as 2 separate tests: BLOD0772 (IgM) and BLOD0771 (IgG)
