Collection Processing Instructions

This test is only orderable for: Marshfield Medical Center, MMC - Eau Claire, MMC - Minocqua, MMC - Rice Lake and MMC- Weston.  

Must use specific USDTL collection kit (Call Customer Service at 800-222-5835). Clean cord with saline to remove excess blood. Pat cord dry and place in USDTL specimen container. Place two forms of ID on container and place tamper-evident seal from USDTL requisition on container cap with initials & date.

If using a sterile plastic container, clean cord with saline to remove excess blood. Pat cord dry and place in USDTL specimen container. Place two forms of ID on container and place tamper-evident seal from USDTL requisition on container cap with initials & date.
