Test Information
The Panther Aptima quantitative HBV test is an FDA approved in vitro nucleic acid amplification test. It is intended for use as an aid in the management of patients with chronic HBV infections undergoing HBV antiviral drug therapy.
This assay quantitates HBV genotypes A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H over the range of 10 IU/mL to 1 billion IU/mL.
Reference Range Information
Performing Location Reference Range
Marshfield No HBV RNA detected
Interpretation
Positives are reported as 10 to 1,000,000,000 IU/mL. Qualitative detection of HBVRNA below 1 IU/mL is reported as <10 IU/mL with the following interpretive comment: HBVRNA is detected but is below the lower limit of quantitation (10 IU/mL).
