Useful For
Studies have shown that high-density lipoprotein as a protective effect against coronary heart disease by transporting cholesterol from the peripheral tissues to the liver where it is catabolized and excreted.  HDL cholesterol is inversely related to the risk of developing coronary artery disease. ​
