Test Components
​Human Papillomavirus (HPV) high risk E6/E7 will be performed at the discretion of the Mayo pathologist.
Useful For
​Detection of human papillomavirus DNA from high-risk genotypes (16, 18, 31, 33 and 51)

Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue block ​Entire block
​5 unstained glass, positively charged slides with 5 (+ or - 1)-microns formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue ​5 slides
Collection Processing Instructions
​A  pathology/diagnostic report and a brief history are required.
Acceptable Specimen Types
​10% neutral buffered formalin fixed tissue specimen/ paraffin embedded tissue block
