This award is presented annually to an NSH member currently using immunohistochemisty in a clinical and or research setting and is nominated by peers for excellence in immunohistochemistry techniques.
Bliven, who has worked in the field for more than 30 years, was nominated by a fellow Wisconsin histotechnologist whom she worked with on state-level histotechnology matters.
“This was a total surprise for me,” Bliven said. “I’m excited to use my $1,000 educational award to learn new things in this constantly changing field.”
