Frances M. Moore DVM, Diplomate ACVP Director, Veterinary Services Dr. Moore is a graduate from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She was in small and large animal practice before completing a postdoctoral fellowship in comparative pathology at Harvard Medical School. She was an assistant professor in pathology at Harvard Medical School and at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, and was formerly the director of the clinical pathology laboratory at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in both anatomic and clinical pathology.
Donna Hertzke DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVP Assistant Director, Veterinary Services Dr. Hertzke is a graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She was in small animal and equine practice prior to completing postdoctoral training at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her PhD degree. She was a staff pathologist at Kansas State University prior to joining the staff at Marshfield Laboratories. Dr. Hertzke is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in anatomic pathology.
Betsy Aird DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVP Dr. Aird is a graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She was in small animal practice before returning to the University of Minnesota where she completed both a pathology residency and postdoctoral program. She was a staff pathologist and director of the clinical laboratories at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Teaching Hospital and the Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. Dr. Aird is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in clinical pathology.
Laura Andrews DVM, Diplomate ACVP Dr. Andrews is a graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship in medicine & surgery and a residency program in both small animal internal medicine and in oncology at the Animal Medical Center in New York. She also completed a residency in pathology at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. She was a senior pathologist at Parke Davis in Ann Arbor, Michigan and was also head of pathology at Boehringer Ingelheim in Connecticut and senior pathologist at Boehringer Ingelheim (Thomae) in Biberach in Germany. Maron B. Calderwood Mays, VMD, PhD, Diplomate ACVP Dr. Calderwood Mays is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She received her PhD degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine where she served as chief of surgical pathology and coordinator of the anatomic pathology residency program. She was a professor in the Department of Comparative and Experimental Pathology at the University of Florida. She is a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology and has been an associate editor and on the editorial board for the journal, Veterinary Pathology. James L. Carpenter DVM, Diplomate ACVP Dr. Carpenter is a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed an internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital where he was also served as staff clinician and as director of clinics. He completed a research fellowship in comparative pathology at Harvard Medical School . He was pathology department chairman at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston and was assistant professor of pathology at Harvard Medical School. Mattie Hendrick VMD, Diplomate ACVP Dr. Hendrick is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a research fellowship in pathology at Harvard Medical School, a portion of which was in a residency in pathology at the San Diego Zoo. She was an assistant professor of pathology at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and a professor of pathology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where she is currently adjunct full professor and staff pathologist. She completed pathology residency training at the Johns Hopkins University Division of Comparative Medicine. Thomas P. Lipscomb DVM, Diplomate ACVP Dr. Lipscomb is a graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced small animal and equine medicine prior to completing his pathology residency training at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Washington, DC. He was chief of AFIP’s Division of Veterinary Pathology where he remains a senior consulting pathologist. Dr. Lipscomb is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in anatomic pathology.
Pete MacWilliams DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVP Dr. MacWilliams is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was in small and large animal practice prior to completing a residency in clinical pathology at the University of Saskatchewan Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He returned to large animal practice prior to being appointed assistant professor of veterinary pathology at the University of Saskatchewan Western College of Veterinary Medicine where he also completed a research fellowship with the Medical Research Council of Canada. He was associate professor of veterinary pathology at both the University of Saskatchewan Western College of Veterinary Medicine and at Louisiana State University. He was formerly director of clinical pathology at Hazelton Laboratories in Madison, Wisconsin. He was professor of pathology and chief of staff for diagnostic and imaging services at the University of Wisconsin where he served on the faculty for 25 years. Dr. MacWilliams joined the pathology staff at Marshfield Laboratories in July 2007. Dr. MacWilliams is a diplomate of American College of Veterinary Pathologists in clinical pathology.
Joe McCoy DVM, Diplomate ACVP Dr. McCoy is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed an internship in small animal medicine and a residency in pathology at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. Marie Petrites-Murphy DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVP Dr. Petrites-Murphy is a graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. She was in small animal practice prior to completing a clinical pathology residency and postdoctoral studies for a PhD in pathology in the Department of Veterinary Pathology at Texas A&M University. She was an associate professor at the University of Kentucky, Department of Veterinary Science where she also served as staff pathologist at the Livestock Disease Diagnostic Center. She subsequently was staff pathologist at the Phoenix Central Laboratory and at Breathitt Veterinary Center at Murray State University. She was a consultant pathologist at Antech diagnostics and at Bristol Myers Squibb prior to joining the staff at the Marshfield Clinic. She also has fulfilled the role of temporary veterinary medical officer for the USDA during the Foot & Mouth Disease outbreak (North Yorkshire, England) and the Exotic Newcastle Disease outbreak (Colton, California). F. Yvonne Schulman DVM, Diplomate ACVP Dr. Schulman is a graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine.
