Located in Marshfield, WI our Reference Services laboratory was established in 1973 to serve the testing needs of physicians in Wisconsin and the Midwest. Now located in a new state-of-the-art facility, our scientists, clinicians and staff work side-by-side, accelerating the pace at which we are able to put our research into practice while providing daily reference services to our clinic and hospital clients.
Our independently funded Research Foundation is a recognized leader in the fields of clinical research, human genetics, agricultural health and safety, bioinformatics and epidemiology. In this unique environment, scientists and technology experts collaborate directly with physicians and business leaders to facilitate the timely transfer of medical discovery to patient care.
Over the years our laboratory services have expanded to include multiple locations serving the human, veterinary, and toxicology markets. Combined, Marshfield Labs reported over 25 million test results last year. Our 40+ laboratories provide services to over 5,000 clients every day.
Marshfield Labs’ Veterinary Services opened in 1991, providing reference laboratory services to veterinarians throughout Wisconsin. We continue to expand with additional laboratory locations serving veterinary clinicians and researchers nationwide. We also participate in public and global health initiatives.
Marshfield Labs offers clinical laboratory practicum programs in seven areas of study. We are one of the few laboratories in the country to hold simultaneous national accreditation for Histotechnician, Cytotechnologist and Clinical Lab Scientist Programs.
